Spectator Parking at the 2017 World Rowing Championships

With the 2017 World Rowing Championships just a few weeks away, the event’s local organizing committee has announced plans for spectator parking at the event.

With the 2017 World Rowing Championships just a few weeks away, the event’s local organizing committee has announced plans for spectator parking at the event.

From September 23-October 1:

• Drivers will be instructed to park their vehicles in the grassy lot located to the north of Regatta Island and adjacent to the south end of the Mall at University Town Center. (Where the circus tent was located during the Circus Sarasota Winter Show)

• Address: 201 University Town Center Drive

• Parking is $5 cash per vehicle.

• Once parked, spectators will proceed via sidewalk to the venue. Complimentary shuttle service is also being provided to those with mobility issues.

• Bicycle parking will be permitted at no charge at three different locations throughout Nathan Benderson Park. Designated bicycle parking will be clearly marked for patrons attending the event by bike. Riding a bike inside the venue is prohibited.

• Golf carts are not permitted.

On the 2017 World Rowing Championships website (www.wrch2017.com), spectators may purchase their parking pass ahead of time. A daily pass is $5 and a 9-day pass is $45. Online users should click the "Transport and Parking" link located under the"Spectators" tab. Purchasers will receive the electronic parking pass with a QR code,

which will need to be printed and presented at the parking lot entrance.
