(ATR) While fog may have triumphed over the men's snowboard cross competition, it was no match for the Russian bobsleigh team or the United States figure skating team.
Both teams won a gold in their respective disciplines, bumping their medal counts up to eighteen medals apiece and bringing about a tie for first place on the overall medal count.
Belarus, a name seldom seen on the leader board, won two medals today: a gold in women's mass start biathlon, and a gold in men's freestyle skiing aerials. Belarus now has a total of six medals, five of them gold.
Despite the ever-changing leader board, Germany's luge dominance still gives the country a lead in the race for gold with eight gold medals, and thirteen medals overall.
