(ATR) Sinergi Sports Consulting will host its 3rd Sawi course on sports marketing in Lausanne beginning on Feb. 14.

The four month course led by marketing and communications expert Nadia Atienza will give students the opportunity to develop skills in the basics of sports law and digital strategy.

"Over the last 20 years, the sports industry has been having a growing impact on the world economy, investing in public infrastructure, mobilizing resources and creating new professions and jobs," Atienza said in a statement.

"Sports, when seen as a highly emotional and inspirational tool for people at a large scale, seems easy to understand. However sports has its own codes and specifies that professionals interested in working in this area should know. It is therefore essential to professionalize this field in order to make experts perfectly aware of the specificity of the sports environment."

Lecturers including Sponsorship Activation Project Manager for the 2017 FIS World Championships Eric Amstein and FIBA Communications Director Patrick Koller will also be participating in the course.
