(ATR) Samsung’s global Olympic Games campaign continues with the release of their newest ad "The Anthem".
With the games being only about two weeks away excitement begins to build, not only for the athletes, but the fans as well. What better way to excite the world than a visual display of universal unity.
The ad features national anthems from multiple countries combined together to create one global anthem.
In a statement, Executive Vice President of Global Marketing and Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics, Younghee Lee said, "The Anthem` is a reflection of the Samsung brand and our continuous pursuit to break down geographic barriers and unite the world through technology and borderless communication".
Arnaud Assoumani of France, who won Paralympic gold in Beijing and two silver medals in London, and Gabriel Medina of Brazil, the 2014 World Surf League World Champion, are just two of the athletes who will be making an appearance in the ad.
Each of the six athletes featured has a unique story of defying odds and overcoming obstacles to reach a goal. Sharing these stories allows athletes to connect with their fans reminding them that they too can persevere. In a statement, Medina said, "Samsung’s `The Anthem` is amazing because it’s a song that can unite and inspire the whole world".
Assoumani said "The Anthem` is a great way for me to show that we’re all sharing the same values and we can mix different cultures and languages and still understand each other".
These athletes will be featured in more of Samsung's campaign throughout the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
