Samsung, the global technology giant and TOP Partner of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), today renewed their regional partnership with Generations For Peace, the only peace-through-sport organisation officially recognised by the IOC, for a seventh year.

The support is part of Samsung’s broader "Hope For Children" programme, a globally-respected Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme. The renewed commitment is founded on the shared values at the heart of the relationship, and the success of Generations For Peace programmes around the region, using unique sport-based games as a powerful vehicle for education, behaviour change and youth development.

Praising this milestone, Mr. Bumsuk Hong, President of Samsung Electronic Levant said, "Seven years is a momentous occasion! And it is a true testament of the solid partnership we have built together with Generation For Peace. It is also verification of a commitment we at Samsung Electronics take pride in, which solidifies our pledge and continuous pursuit to help in building a better and healthier future for generations to come."

HRH Prince Feisal Al Hussein, IOC member and the Founder and Chairman of Generations For Peace, commented: "Samsung is our longest-serving partner, and their support is a wonderful example of an IOC TOP Partner supporting our work at a regional level, in communities, schools and universities, using sport to transform conflict and empower children, youth, and teachers. We are also using Samsung’s technology to benefit our programmes in schools and universities. Samsung and Generations For Peace are combining our passion and expertise together, to inspire the world and create a better future."

Samsung’s support is benefitting Generations For Peace programmes in Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine, empowering volunteers to address local issues of conflict and violence in their own communities.
