(ATR) The International Olympic Committee won't be taking any further action against Ryan Lochte or the other American swimmers involved in the gas station incident in Rio.

"No additional penalty was needed on its part" the IOC said in a statement.

The United States Olympic Committee and USA Swimming last week handed Lochte a 10-month ban and monetary penalties for his part in adestruction of property scandal during the Rio Olympic Games.

The three other swimmers involved in fabricating the tale about a gas station robbery – Jimmy Feigen, Gunnar Bentz and Jack Conger –received four month bans. All four will not be allowed to visit the White House with the rest of Team USA.

Lochte is required to perform 20 hours of community service and will miss the 2017 world championships but he will keep his gold medal from the Rio Games.

This incident led to Lochte losing four major sponsors but also gaining a few others along with the opportunity to be a contestant on Dancing with the Stars.

Lochte was confronted with a roar of booing as he entered the Stars stage during Monday's live show.

His first performance was interrupted by protesters wearing anti- Lochte T-shirts and led to the arrest of two men.

Four or five women responsible for chants of "liar!" were escorted from the audience as well.

The entire scene was captured by fellow Olympic swimmer Ed Moses who posted a video on his Instagram page stating, "This crap is getting old! I love u @ryanlochte and respect you putting yourself out there, you are one of a kind!! ... #respect".

Lochte’s next performance can be seen on Sep.19 on ABC.
