Rio 2016 unveils Shooting sport schedule

The Shooting Sport schedule of the XXXI Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has been unveiled. The full day-by-day schedule is available online on the ISSF website (Link).

A total of 390 athletes will compete in Shooting sport events during Rio 2016. Almost all Olympic quota places have already been distributed. The last 12 slots available will be assigned at the 2016 European Championships in 10m events to be held in Gyoer (HUN), from February 22nd to February 28th.

Twenty-four additional Tripartite Commission Invitation Places are available to eligible National Olympic Committees for the Shooting events, and will be distributed by the Tripartite Commission according to the allocation procedure and regulations (Link).

The fifteen Rio 2016 Shooting sport finals will be conducted according to the following schedule.

6 August:

10:30 - 10m Air Rifle Women

15:30 - 10m Air Pistol Men

7 August:

11:00 - 10m Air Pistol Women

15:00 - Trap Women

8 August:

12:00 - 10m Air Rifle Men

15:00 - Trap Men

9 August:

15:30 - 25m Pistol Women

10 August:

12:00 - 50m Pistol Men

15:00 - Double Trap Men

11 August:

12:00 - 50m Rifle 3 Positions Women

12 August:

11:00 - 50m Rifle Prone Men

15:00 - Skeet Women

13 August:

12:30 - 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men
