RICHMOND, Va., November 24, 2014 – Richmond 2015, the organizer of the 2015 UCI Road World Championships, today announced the addition of Belgium-based Penta Reizen as an Official Travel Agent (OTA) for the nine-day cycling event in Richmond in September 2015.

Penta Reizen joins previously announced OTAs Custom Getaways (United States), STA Travel (Europe) and Flight Centre Active Travel (Asia Pacific) in offering exclusive travel packages for cycling’s World Championships, regarded as one of the sport’s premier annual events. The OTAs feature Official Fan Packages that combine flights with the best accommodations and a mix of cycling and tourism activities with the World Championships. Cycling enthusiasts visiting Richmond can choose from experiences during and outside race times, such as exclusive opportunities to enjoy restricted-access event seating, premium hospitality along the circuit and even the opportunity to ride portions of the 2015 UCI Road Worlds courses.

All fan packages are offered at Richmond2015.com – cycling fans are not limited to ordering from the OTA in their region and are encouraged to browse options from each of the OTAs. Official Fan Packages are the only way to access hotels in the immediate vicinity of the start/finish lines in downtown Richmond.

"There has been tremendous excitement in the fan packages from cycling fans from all over the world since we began selling them in September," said Tim Miller, chief operating officer of Richmond 2015. "The addition of Penta Reizen, which gives us two partners in cycling-centric Europe, only will add to that."

Added Pieter Demuynck, CEO of Penta Reizen: "While there is obvious excitement in the United States that the World Championships are coming to Richmond, cycling fans across the globe share that feeling. It’s been a long time since the Worlds have been held on American soil, and cycling fans are excited."

Richmond 2015, in partnership with Mummu Sport, a global sports and entertainment firm based in Australia, launched the Richmond 2015 Travel Office in July to help coordinate travel logistics for the more than 1,000 cyclists, team members and officials, as well as cycling fans, who will visit Richmond for the event, which has not been held in the United States since 1986.
