Last Thursday, the KOC approved Mr. Ki-heung Lee as the chief delegate to lead Team Korea for the London 2012 Games. Mr. Lee has functioned as chairman of the KOC National Sports Festival Commission since 2009 and has also headed the Korean Canoe Federation from 2004-2009. From 200 to 2004, Mr. Lee served as a vice-president to the Korean Modern Pentathlon Federation.
Mr. Lee is no stranger to leading delegations abroad. In 2010, he headed Team Korea to the Guangzhou Asian Games, finishing in second place with 76 gold medals. Mr. Lee hopes that with the great honor and responsibility, Team Korea will receive more than 10 gold medals and place within the top 10 nations on the medal list. Currently, Mr. Ki-heung Lee is a director of the 2014 Incheon Asian Games Organizing Committee.
