Suite à un conflit opposant certains fournisseurs locaux de l’Africa Village à l’organisation concernant le règlement du solde de factures jugées exigibles, ce groupement de fournisseurs a décidé de façon unilatérale, et après un marchandage inacceptable, de suspendre ses prestations. Cette suspension a entraîné de ce fait l’interruption de service, et obligé la fermeture du site.

Cet état de fait est d’autant plus regrettable que le solde des sommes réclamées représente une part mineure du budget. Cette situation ne méritait pas une telle mesure excessive et lourde de conséquences pour les pays africains exposants, méritant plus de respect et de considération à 4 jours de la fin de l’événement.

Il est clair que cette fermeture prématurée entraîne un vrai préjudice qui nécessitera des suites appropriées envers ceux qui ont pris la lourde responsabilité de fermer ce site.

L’Africa Village a remporté un vrai succès populaire en recevant plus de 80000 visiteurs depuis son ouverture le 28 juillet. Une vingtaine de pays ont fait des efforts considérables pour être présent. De nombreux dignitaires et officiels venant de tous les pays ont honoré de leur présence l’Africa Village.

Nous regrettons vivement cette situation, en particulier pour le préjudice subi par les exposants, et nous remercions infiniment tous les visiteurs, et les partenaires qui ont soutenu l’Africa Village depuis de longs mois.
