(ATR)The 2014 Commonwealth Games closed at Hampden Park in Glasgow, Scotland on Sunday.
Dignitaries in attendance included Commonwealth Games Federation president Prince Imran; Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex; Sophie, Countess of Wessex; British Prime Minister David Cameron; and Lord Provost of Glasgow Sadie Docherty.
Prince Imran handed the Commonwealth Games flag over to Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate during the ceremony. The Gold Coast is staging the Commonwealth Games in 2018.
British Prime Minister David Cameron delivered a speech prior to the closing ceremony on Sunday and thanked Glasgow for a "dazzling" Commonwealth Games.Cameron said the 2014 Commonwealth Games will deliver a "great legacy" for Glasgow.
