Peace and Sport and a number of its Champions for Peace have officially announced their support for the campaign #TargetEbola led by the World Olympians Association in partnership with Oxfam and Medisend.

Following in the footsteps of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, High Patron of Peace and Sport, and Joël Bouzou, President of Peace and Sport and World Olympians Association, various Champions for Peace have responded to the call and shown their support for the fight against the epidemic. Marco Simone, Paula Radcliffe, Charmaine Crooks, Sergey Bubka, Novak Djokovic, Daniel Elena, Tegla Loroupe and Pernilla Wiberg, among others, have already shared the message on social media.

Joël Bouzou said: "Controlling the Ebola virus is a global concern, regardless of where we live or where we come from. I am proud that Peace and Sport is joining this noble cause and that the Champions for Peace have mobilized their efforts to get the message heard. As an institution and as athletes, we are ambassadors for the Olympic values of excellence, friendship and respect. It’s our duty to use our influence to raise awareness among the greatest possible number of people and raise funds to combat this outbreak."

As well as calling on the Champions for Peace group for support, Peace and Sport is relaying the manifesto of the #TargetEbola campaign via the press and its social networks.
