Peace and Sport is calling for action with the theme "Endangered peace: Facing the future together" for its eighth International Forum, which is to be held in the Principality of Monaco from 25 to 27 November 2015 under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.
This 2015 edition will offer a platform for thought-provoking and practical insight, says Joël Bouzou, President and Founder of Peace and Sport: "As the world confronts a growing and multi-faceted migration crisis, it is essential to use sport as a tool to foster cohesion in society, everywhere in the world. Faced with the challenges of these turbulent and uncertain times, Peace and Sport wants to put the focus on action and the potential of sport-based solutions."
The Forum’s twenty or so speakers will illustrate the impressive diversity of the peace through sport movement. The program, featuring four plenary sessions and three workshops, will challenge the participants to explore the untapped potential of a collective investment in building the future through sport. Various side events will put a spotlight on the bridges connecting the diplomatic world and the sport community. The highlight of the Forum – the long-established Awards Gala, will take place on Thursday 26 November, rewarding the expertise of various stakeholders that have worked for sustainable peace through sport in 2015.
Participants will be exposed to fresh ideas and viewpoints at the Peace and Sport International Forum, an unmissable event which each year brings together more than 500 decision-makers from over a hundred countries, spanning five continents.
