Paris Launches "Talent Paris 2024"

Youth is at the heart of the Paris bid to host the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. To encourage initiatives taken by young talents of a generation that wants to change the world, the City of Paris created the label "Talent Paris 2024" and calls for innovative projects.

"We want to give voice and support youth initiatives in the heart of the Olympic bid, and encourage the emergence of a generation in 2024 and engaged citizen," says Pauline Véron, Assistant to the Mayor of Paris in charge of youth. In this context, the label "Talent Paris 2024" will reward and support young project leaders both innovative, and the impact on the Parisian territory.

The students, apprentices, students, young professionals, volunteers in civic service or young people looking for jobs Greater Paris are invited to participate in this operation. Proposals must be part of a resonant innovation approach with the Olympic values and the principles of simplicity, sustainability and non-discrimination arising from the Olympic Agenda 2020.

A committee of experts and of City representatives will select the top 24 projects, which will be accompanied to formalize their proposal before the final presentation to the jury. It will be composed of personalities from the business world, associations and sports as well as innovation experts, representatives of the City of Paris and Parisian members of the Council of Youth. Three winners will be named at a ceremony in the City Hall at the end of 2017, and will share a total financial aid of 50,000 euros. They also receive a personalized, from actors of innovation, community life, as well as support educational partners, academic and cultural of the City of Paris.

"With this project call, we respond to our commitment to build an Olympic project that looks to our society and which resembles our territory. This approach integrates the program of 43 steps we have developed to enable a lasting legacy of the application ", says Jean-François Martins, Deputy Mayor of Paris in charge of sports and tourism.
