(ATR) Select commuter trains in Rio de Janeiro will feature Paralympic athletes as the city prepares to host the 2016 Olympics and Paralympics.
The first train was outfitted with decorations on Sept. 11, one of the first major steps to bring the "look of the Games" to the city of Rio de Janeiro. The trains are part of Rio's SuperVia network, which connect the suburbs of the city to Central Station.
International Paralympic Committee President Philip Craven took the ceremonial first ride on the train to mark the beginning of the campaign.
Brazilian para-athletes are featured on the trains along with the colors and logos of Rio 2016.
