Today, as Americans celebrate Independence Day, LA 2024 highlighted its comprehensive Live Site concept, an innovative feature of its Games Plan that would create unparalleled celebration sites and allow even more fans to enjoy the Games.

LA 2024’s pioneering Sports Park model enhances the traditional concept of a singular Olympic Park by offering four unique Sports Parks in Downtown Los Angeles, the South Bay, the Valley, and Long Beach. In each LA 2024 Sports Park, event venues and Live Sites share resources, ensuring attendees can easily enjoy an Olympic festival atmosphere at vibrant Live Sites located in each Sports Park.

Each LA 2024 Live Site would feature big screens showing live Games action, Olympic and Paralympic sport showcases, marketing partner activations and numerous dining and retail options. LA 2024’s "dynamic ticketing" model would give fans access to tickets in real-time if they become available, helping to make the Games as accessible as possible while maximizing ticketing revenue and ensuring every athlete competes in front of a full house.

With Sports Park Live Sites spread across the city, more communities would be able to join in the celebrations at their own local Live Site.

Today’s emphasis on the fan experience is part of the bid’s #FollowTheSun to Olympic Agenda 2020 campaign: 20 activities in 20 days to show how LA 2024 would contribute to the IOC’s strategic roadmap for the future of the Olympic Movement, Olympic Agenda 2020. Providing Live Sites across the city would engage more Angelenos in the Games, aligning with Olympic Agenda 2020’s 23rd recommendation to engage with the general public.

LA 2024 CEO Gene Sykes said: "In honor of Fourth of July, LA 2024 is highlighting our planned celebration sites for the Games. LA 2024’s innovative Sports Park and Live Site model would create an unparalleled fan experience spread across our city, bringing the action closer to more of LA's great neighborhoods. With the latest technology, unique cultural attractions and diverse dining options, LA 2024's celebration sites would allow even more Olympic and Paralympic fans to enjoy the Games."
