SportAccord Convention (www.sportaccordconvention.com) is one of the most important events to take place behind the scenes of the competitive sporting world. This year, it is being held in Belek near Antalya from April 6–11 and is set to welcome the logistics company Conceptum Sport Logistics (CSL – www.conceptum-sport-logistics.com) as an exhibitor. Taking place shortly after the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi (www.sochi2014.com), the convention will, above all, give the sports industry an opportunity to reflect on the games and prepare for up-and-coming events. Sebastian Stahl, the managing director of Conceptum Logistics, and his team rank among the unsung heroes of the sports competitions and will be on hand at the event at booth number 90 to talk logistics.

Stahl’s logistics professionals transported more than 250 metric tons of sports equipment and materials to Sochi alone, establishing a logistics chain that carried the goods by sea and air over several months. Hosted close to the world’s sporting centers, in locations such as Lausanne, Seoul, St. Petersburg and Beijing, SportAccord Convention has been bringing together members of the sports industry since 2003. The German project logistics company CSL is using the event to showcase itself and its range of services. Represented worldwide, a personal service and door-to-door deliveries are at the heart of CSL’s work. "With an entire competition resting on the condition of their sports equipment and the reliability of a logistics company, it’s not surprising that athletes are extremely demanding customers. We transport goods as if they belong to us," says Sebastian Stahl from Conceptum Sport Logistics.

During the Olympic Games in Sochi alone, CSL worked for more than 50 National Olympic Committees and sports associations, an achievement which, according to managing director Stahl, has given it a special standing in the sporting world. More than 6,000 sports experts are expected to attend SportAccord Convention, where forthcoming events will be the main topic on the agenda. One such event is the 2016 Summer Olympic Games taking place in Rio de Janeiro, the preparations for which have already begun. "We have our own office in Rio, which means we are on hand to offer local support to athletes and teams and provide the comprehensive logistics solutions needed to take care of their gear and sports equipment," states Sebastian Stahl from Conceptum Sport Logistics.
