(ATR) Coca-Cola would not say if their Olympics department will be affected by the upcoming job cuts.

A spokesperson for the company told Around the Rings that the only attribution to the job cuts would be that 500 jobs in Atlanta were being cut.

"We are not breaking out the numbers by location or department," the spokesperson said to ATR.

Coca-Cola said in a statement released on Jan. 8 that between 1,600 and 1,800 corporate jobs would be eliminated across the entire company.

No timetable was given for when the jobs would be eliminated, but the company said they have begun speaking to departments about impacts from the upcoming layoffs.

Two Sponsors Added for Toronto

Toronto 2015 has a loyalty program and laboratory equipment for the Pan American and Parapan American Games.

LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services will provide laboratory services for athletes in the Games, along with anti-doping equipment.

Over 1,000 samples are expected to be collected during Toronto 2015, before they are sent to a World Anti-Doping Agency lab to be tested.

The company will operate at the Polyclinic at the Athlete’s Village along with five auxiliary labs according to a release from Toronto 2015.

"Our long-standing history of providing exceptional lab services to Canadians will serve us well in providing a world-class experience for athletes and volunteers both on and off the field," Sue Paish, president and CEO of LifeLabs, said in a statement.

Along with providing the official loyalty program of the 2015 Pan Am Games, Aeroplan is offering two prize packages to attend Toronto 2015.

"With its marketing expertise and relationships across Canada, Aeroplan is a great partner to help spread the word," Saäd Rafi, chief executive officer of the Toronto 2015, said in a statement.

Two prize packages will be available for Canadians to win, as Aeroplan partnered with oil-company Esso. Details on the contest can be found here.
