(ATR) Holidays for Christmas and the New Year mean office closings for the IOC as well as organizing committees during the upcoming weeks.
IOC: Closed from Dec. 24 until Jan. 4, but the media team will be on stand by for the duration of the holidays. The IOC also “wish you all a very good Christmas and happy new year”.
Vancouver 2010: VANOC is scheduled to be closed from 1PM local time Christmas Eve and Christmas, as well as New Year’s Day. However with the Vancouver Olympics just under two months away, staff will continue working during the holidays.
Canadian Olympic Committee: Closed from Noon on Christmas Eve through Christmas Day.
London 2012: Scheduled to be closed from Dec. 24 through Jan. 4.
British Olympic Association: Scheduled to be closed from Dec. 23 through Jan. 4.
Sochi 2014: Sochi’s Olympic organizers will observer the Russian public holidays and close Dec. 31, reopening Jan. 10. However, the communications team is available on mobiles as usual.
Rio 2016: The newest Olympic organizing committee will be closed between Dec. 23 and Jan. 3.
World Anti Doping Agency: WADA’s Montreal headquarters are scheduled to close Dec. 24, reopening Jan. 4.
USOC: Closed Christmas Eve Day and Christmas Day as well as New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
IAAF: Closed from Christmas Eve Day to Jan. 3. Reopens Jan. 4.
