Olympic Gold Medalist Picabo Street Joins Universal Sports Network's Broadcast Booth

Universal Sports Network adds Olympic gold medalist Picabo Street to its broadcast booth for this weekend’s LIVE coverage of FIS Alpine World Cup skiing in Lake Louise, Canada. Street, making her first appearance with the network since the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, will call the action for all three days of women’s events which include Women’s Downhill (Dec. 2 and Dec. 3, 2:30 p.m. ET) and Women’s Super G (Dec. 4, 1 p.m. ET). Street will join play-by-play announcer Paul Sunderland.

Among her many alpine skiing accomplishments, Street won a gold medal in Super G at the 1998 Winter Olympics, a silver medal in Downhill at the 1994 Winter Olympics and a gold medal in Downhill at the 1996 World Championships. A two-time World Cup downhill champion, Street made history as the first American ever to win a World Cup season title in a speed event. Street won a total of nine World Cup downhill races.

An updated schedule of Universal Sports Network’s Alpine Ski World Cup coverage is listed below, with events in Val d’Isere, France cancelled due to weather.
