(ATR) Around the Ringspreviews this week’s Olympic Channel programs.
The week begins as the Olympic Channel explores the life of Jamaica's first Olympic gymnast Toni-Ann Williams in the "Gold Medal Entourage" series.
In this episode Williams reveals her support system and reason behind her Games success - her fellow gymnastics teammates at the University of California, Berkeley.
"I really am grateful to have them," Williams states.
"To see those girls push themselves, I know that I can get better. If they're trying to get better, I can also get better too."
A new episode of "Gold Medal Entourage" will be featured every Monday.
On Tuesdays, the "Z team" program highlights some of the most unaccomplished youth sports teams receiving a helping hand from Olympic legends and coaches. In this week's episode, Hungarian Olympic gold medalist Tamas Molnarwill be traveling to the island of Malta to assist the Exiles Waterpolo club. Molnar's water polo team won gold during the2000, 2004, and 2008 Summer Olympic Games. He was also named Hungarian Water Polo Player of the Year in 1998.
Three new episodes of the "Hitting the Wall" series will be featured on Wednesday. Rio 2016 silver medalist fencer Enzo Lefort, Sochi 2014 Olympic gold medalist curler Kaitlyn Lawesand others will be putting some of the fitness leaders of the world to the test by challenging them to complete each athlete's personal workout routines.
The "Generation Rise" series continues on Thursday with two new episodes. The program features 2016 Rio Olympic athletes and others working to make a name for themselves in the Middle East and North Africa. Some of the athletes include Hasnaa Lachgar, Sheik Saee
d Al Maktoum, Yousef Mirza and Farhan Sultan.
You can expect four more episodes of "Transform My Meal" on Thursday as well. The lifestyle cooking program partners world class chefs with Olympic athletes as they learn how to change their eating habits by turning mundane dishes into gourmet meals without sacrificing nutrition.
To end the week the channel series "Flow Mode" will premiere on Friday, featuring USA Luger Chris Mazder. Mazder takes the Olympic Channel behind the scenes of his off-season training, away from the ice and on a mountain road.
The Olympic Channel recently partnered with the International Floorball Federation (IFF), agreeing to live streamselect matches from the 2016 Men’s World Floorball Championships. The championships - held in Riga, Latvia - will begin on Dec.3 and conclude on Dec.11.
The 2016 AIBA Youth World Championships (Nov. 25-26) and the 2016 Yonex Sunrise Hong Kongopen Badminton Championships will stream live this week.
