Olympic champion Mikael Kingsbury named ambassador of the Canadian Olympic Experience for the summer season

The Canadian Olympic Committee will be welcoming elementary school students on Thursday, May 30, to join Olympic champion Mikaël Kingsbury who is the summer ambassador for the Canadian Olympic Experience – an interactive, educational and immersive destination.

Media are invited for b-roll and interview opportunities. The event will also be open to the general public to meet Kingsbury and experience the attraction’s three zones.

Who:

Mikaël Kingsbury – An Olympic champion and four-time freestyle skiing world champion, Kingsbury is ranked No. 1 in the world. After earning silver at Sochi 2014, he dominated the field to end up atop the podium in PyeongChang.

Sandra Sassine – A two-time Olympian in fencing (Beijing 2008 and London 2012), Sassine has carried her passion for the Olympic Movement to her role with the Canadian Olympic Committee since 2013. She currently serves as Program Manager, Olympic Education and Experience.
