Lausanne, 27 november 2019 - The Lausanne 2020 Organising Committee is pleased to announce its partnership with ODLO, official partner of the 3rd Winter Youth Olympic Games. ODLO will equip the 3‘500 volunteers of Lausanne 2020 with uniforms specially developed for the Games.

The volunteers of Lausanne 2020 are in good hands! In January, the Swiss brand ODLO will provide them with uniforms in the colours of Lausanne 2020. ODLO and Lausanne 2020 have been working together at all stages of the development of these special uniforms from the choice of materials, their design and their production. Sharing the common values of sport and innovation, the two organisations have designed uniforms which combine comfort, aesthetics and technology, while respecting their joint commitment for sustainability.

The uniforms are now ready and their distribution will start soon. They will be worn by Lausanne 2020 volunteers from 5 January until the end of the Games. Volunteers working in the city and in the mountain resorts will be equipped with a jacket. Volunteers working at snow sports events will also be provided with snow trousers.

Retraites Populaires supports the Lausanne 2020 volunteer programme and is therefore proud to see the first unifying signs of this community through these uniforms.

Knut Are Høgberg, CEO of ODLO: "We are proud to be an official partner and to provide the uniforms of the volunteers who will support athletes from all over the world at the Winter Youth Olympic Games Lausanne 2020. This event is an ideal opportunity for us to demonstrate our commitment to the development of high-performance winter sports clothing. We look forward to this unforgettable event in Switzerland."

Ian Logan, CEO of Lausanne 2020: "Lausanne 2020 is proud to announce its partnership with ODLO. As a strong Swiss brand deeply rooted in winter sports, its commitment and passion were very important in the preparation of the Winter Youth Olympic Games of Lausanne 2020. As a leader in sustainable development, we are delighted to have ODLO as our official partner - and we know that our 3’500 volunteers will be too!"
