Octagon Brazil Meets Client Growth with New Staff in Rio and Sao Paulo

Rio De Janeiro/Sao Paulo, BRAZIL – April 18, 2011 – Global sports marketing leader, Octagon, has added four professionals to its new operations in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo in order to serve a growing portfolio of clients, as sports marketing momentum builds for the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the 2016 Olympic Games.

Octagon veteran Account Director, James Cannon, has relocated from Miami to Octagon Brazil’s office in Sao Paulo. Cannon brings four years experience working with clients as MasterCard International, with focus in sports and entertainment sponsorship across Brazil, other Latin American countries and the Caribbean.

Joining Cannon in agency’s Sao Paulo office, as Account Manager, is Ana Bartholo who has worked for the past three years as general marketing manager for LANCE, one of Brazil’s largest sports media groups. Her prior experience includes marketing positions for Banco Itaú and Telefónica, among others. Ana received her bachelor’s degree and MBA from the University of Chicago. The new Sao Paulo office is located in the World Trade Center Building.

New to the Octagon Brazil team in Rio will be Luis Pozzi, as Account Manager. Pozzi brings13 years experience working with companies such as Globo Network, LANCE, Jornal do Brasil and Flamengo, Brazil’s most popular soccer team. Pozzi received his MBA degree from FGV-RJ and Sports Marketing specialization from New York University and the University of Texas.

Pozzi will be joining colleagues as they move into a new Octagon Rio de Janeiro office located at Barra da Tijuca. That office will be managed by another new staff member, Marcela Rondenelle, supporting Executive Director Fred Polastri.
