Swimmers Nick D'Arcy and Kenrick Monk have been discharged from the Australian Olympic Team.
They have surrendered their accreditation and left the Olympic Village.
Both swimmers are in the care of their families.
D'Arcy and Monk were due to return to Australia tonight following the conclusion of the Olympic swimming competition.
The AOC Team Executive has agreed to this change in plans on the basis that Monk and D'Arcy do not remain in London or return to London during the period of the London Olympic Games (15 August)
It is understood they are intending to holiday in Europe with family and friends.
They have given an undertaking to adhere to the earlier sanction and not engage in social media activity during the Games' period.
Their travel back to Australia will be at their own cost.
WE HAVE NO FURTHER COMMENT ON THIS MATTER
