The FIBA 3x3 World Tour will make its return in Debrecen, Hungary on August 29-30 and go on for an additional 2 brand new Masters in Bucharest, Romania on September 5-6 and September 11-12. More events are scheduled to happen and will be announced later this year depending on the COVID-19 situation.

Debrecen and Bucharest have hosted FIBA 3x3 official competitions for the last 5 and 6 years respectively. All the health and safety measures requested by local and national authorities and the Guidelines for the Return to Basketball developed by the FIBA Medical Advisory Group (MAG) will be implemented.

Teams usually go from the streets to the world stage at the FIBA 3x3 World Tour, by winning a qualifying tournament. Considering the situation and the lack of activity during the pandemic, teams will qualify for the first 3 Masters in principle based on the FIBA 3x3 Team Ranking. The usual road to the World Tour will be restored for the next events.

The highest-ranked 3x3 teams have been consulted and confirmed their desire to return to the court and FIBA will provide logistical support to the teams to make sure the World Tour comes back with the best in the world. Their playing uniforms will be designed and produced by Wilson that has been FIBA 3x3's ball partner since 2015, with its revolutionary game ball tailor-made for 3x3.

FIBA has planned additional FIBA 3x3 World Tour events, including a final this year. Considering the COVID-19 situation, further updates to the FIBA 3x3 World Tour calendar will be provided at a later stage, closer to the events.

In the meantime, the Abu Dhabi, Chengdu, Mexico City and Utsunomiya Masters have been postponed to 2021. On May 20, the Prague, Lausanne, Los Angeles and Nanjing Masters had already been cancelled for 2020 and postponed to 2021.

The updated season calendar can be found on the Events section of the official FIBA 3x3 website.

FIBA will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation on a daily basis and communicate further updates in regard to FIBA Competitions regularly.
