The Technical Committee of the Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Scientific Research Award in the field of sports will hold its first meeting today (AUGUST 1) at the Regency Hotel.
To be chaired by award general secretary Dr Abdulrahman Sayyar, the meeting will highlight a number of topics on its agenda, the most important of which will be reviewing the participating researches.
There will be three different areas for the award, namely sports management, sports training and sports medicine.
The researches that conform to the standards of the research methodology adopted in the regulation on the prize will be chosen.
Also during this meeting, the forms for the assessment of the researches will be approved, in addition to selecting arbitrators who will assess the approved researches in the award, and selecting the winners in the three areas.
The award’s Technical Committee members include Dr Hazza bin Mohammed Al Hazza, Dr Sari Hamdan and Dr. Mohammed Subhi, who arrived yesterday, while Dr. Ahmed Al Sharif is due to reach Bahrain early today.
