Monterrey 2018 Bid Committee continues to strengthen the project to host the Youth Olympic Games

Days after making the official announcement with the Mayor of the city, Fernando Larrazabal, the 2018 Monterrey Bid Committee has launched a promotional campaign through social networks, encouraging young Mexicans and the world to express their support for the bid of the city in northern Mexico. This campaign is called "Give a hand to Monterrey 2018" in which they summon their social networks publish a photograph showing his support for the city of Monterrey to host the Youth Olympic Games in 2018. At the start of this campaign, are participating members of the Bid Committee, headed by their Chairman José Antonio Hernández Griego, Added to this, the Bid Committee is conducting meetings with key local and national politicians and it is expected that half of December, hold a formal meeting with the Mexican Olympic Committee to make the formal declaration of the bid before the Committee International Olympic. Within the promotional campaign, the Monterrey 2018 team has expressed his joy at the accomplishments of Josué Montiel, the only Mexican qualified to compete in the 2012 Winter Olympic Games to be held in the city of Innsbruck, Austria; in sport Skeleton.
