(ATR) Demchigjav Zagdsuren was reelected as Mongolia NOC president at the committee's seventh elective congress in the country's capital - Ulaanbaatar.

Zadgsuren has already served four terms as president and will continue until 2021.

Tsend Damdin and Badmaanyambuu Bat-erdene were also reelected to their respective positions.

During the meeting, the congress also introduced six new executive committee members includingTamir Amarjargal,Chimeddorj Amarsanaa,Amgalanbaatar Ganbaatar, Davaanyambuu Otgondalai,Tsendsuren Sandui andJamiyansuren Tumen-Ayush.

The meeting on March 24 had 146 of 167 delegates in attendance.

Olympic Champion Leads Bulgarian Olympic Committee

World record holder Stefka Kostadinova will lead the Bulgarian Olympic Committee for another four-year term.

Kostadinova stood unopposed in the election, receiving 49 out of a possible 51 votes due to two abstentions.

The high-jump champion at the Atlanta 1996 Olympics has been president of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee since her inaugural election in 2005.

The Bulgarian Olympic Committee announced its new executive board at its meeting on March 23 consisting of 20 members and Kostadinova. Belcho Goranov was also confirmed as the secretary general of the Olympic Committee during the meeting.
