One year to go events include an Around the Rings Newsmaker Breakfast Monday morning on "The Changing Face of TV Broadcasting for London 2012". ATR Editor Ed Hula moderates a panel that includes the BBC, Nine Network and LOCOG.

London 2012 unveils the latest in its International Inspiration program Monday morning.

LOCOG chair Sebastian Coe will brief international media at the Foreign Press Club Monday afternoon.

On Wednesday, the city of London will have its official ceremony. IOC president Jacques Rogge, London Mayor Boris Johnson, LOCOG chief Sebastian Coe and other Olympic leaders will attend.

The highlight of the night is the unveiling of the medal designs and the invitation for athletes to compete in London.

Festivities at Trafalgar Square begin at 7:00 PM. The event will be broadcast worldwide.

Two sports stage their test events this week. Canoeing from July 28 – 31 and the Weymouth Regatta tests the sailing venue from July 31 – August 13.

Shanghai continues to stage the FINA aquatics world championships. Synchronized swimming, water polo and some swimming events remain on the schedule. The championships end July 31.

Media reports say the Turkish government will hold a meeting July 29 to discuss a 2020 bid. The meeting coincides with the European Youth Olympic Festival, which Turkey is hosting in Trabzon until the 29th.
