Madrid Unveiling

The Madrid 2020 bid committee will unveil its logo and website on Jan. 30. The ceremony will take place in the Spanish capital.

Around the Rings will be on the scene for the event.

Madrid is one of six cities bidding for the Games. Baku, Doha, Istanbul, Rome and Tokyo are the others.

BOA YOG Deadline

Also on Monday, the British Olympic Association deadline for bidding for the 2018 Youth Olympic Games comes due.

"Delivering a tangible, UK wide sporting legacy was a key element of London’s bid for the 2012 Olympics, so it would be fitting if hosting the 2018 Youth Olympic Games contributed to bringing this ambition to life," BOA chief executive Andy Hunt said in a statement opening the bidding process.

Glasgow,host of the 2014 Commonwealth Games, is thought to be a strong contender.
