50 Days to London

Thursday marks 50 days to the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics.

LOCOG tells Around the Rings the milestone will be used to emphasize how everyone in the U.K. can join in with the Games, regardless of ticket allotment.

Torch Relay

The Olympic Flame reaches Dublin on Wednesday and arrives in Scotland on Friday.

Rio Co-Comm

Olympics organizers in Rio de Janeiro will need to impress with their construction progress this week to avoid raising any red flags fromchair Nawal El Moutawakel and the rest of her Coordination Commission for 2016.

Both the Sambodromo – venue for the marathon start and finish as well as archery events – and phase one of the Transoeste Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line are expected to be on display to the IOC with both slated for completion this year.

The Co-Comm begins Monday and runs through Wednesday.

Euro 2012

ATR will be on the scene Friday as UEFA’s Euro 2012 football finals kick off with Poland versus Greece inside newly built Warsaw National Stadium.

Wroclaw, Gdansk and Poznan are the other Polish cities jumping into action this weekend.

Kharkiv, Lviv, Kiev and Donetsk are the stadium sites for co-host Ukraine.
