Mizuno Corporation joins the Tokyo 2020 Bid Effort as Official Bid Partner

Tokyo, 7September 2012 –Tokyo 2020, Japan’s bid to host the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, today named Mizuno Corporatio nas its fifth Official Bid Partner. The leadings ports goods manufacture,along with the previously announced sponsors, ASICS,DESCENTE,JTB, and Kinki Nippon Tourist, will collaborate with the Bid Committee to bring the 2020 Games to the world’s most forward-thinking and safecity.

Akito Mizuno, President of Mizuno Corporation, said: "Sport has the capacity to energise people and bring smiles to our faces. At the London 2012 Games,great athletes demonstrated immeasurable courage and provided inspiration. Tokyo 2020 Bid Partners serve a variety of supporting roles throughout the bid campaign. One year remains until the International Olympic Committee (IOC) conducts the final vote for the host of the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Gamesat the 125th IOC Session on 7 September 2013 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
