(ATR) The release of the Ropes & Gray report on the involvement of the USOC in the USA Gymnastics sex abuse scandal has fueled a new wave of criticism against both organizations.
The report is an unforgiving account of the failure of the USOC as well as USA Gymnastics to act in a timely way against former team doctor Larry Nassar. His victims number into the hundreds, as does the prison time he faces.
Eddie Pells of Associated Press takes a measured approach but nonetheless points out the hard yards ahead fixing both the USOC and the gymnastics NGB.

What’s the future of USA Gymnastics in Indianapolis where the organization is headquartered? That’s a question posed in the the Indianapolis Star newspaper by reporters David Woods and Tim Evans. The newspaper was the first to break the news about the Nassar scandal in 2016, one year after USA Gymnastics and the USOC were informed of the allegations.
