Marco Auletta has resigned as CEO of MP & Silva. Following the successful creation of the partnership between Baofeng, Everbright and MP & Silva, Marco has decided this is the perfect moment to resign his position as CEO and continue with new business ventures.

Marco has been CEO of MP & Silva since 2009. He has been responsible for leading its rapid growth, and developing a portfolio of media rights that provides over 10,000 hours of programming annually to over 200 broadcasters in 215 countries - including Europe's top football leagues, Grand Slam tennis, motor racing, handball, baseball, volleyball, boxing and the NFL. Marco has worked at MP & Silva for eight years, firstly as Vice President, Acquisitions, and since 2009 as CEO. As proof of Marco’s ongoing commitment to the company he will continue to be a minority shareholder.

MP & Silva is in the process of appointing a new CEO and will make a further announcement in due course.

Larry Feng, Chairman of MP & Silva said:

"Marco has provided fantastic leadership to help build a strong, dynamic and successful company. He has been responsible for leading an energetic team with an incomparable sales network of global sports media rights, and an invaluable reputation within the industry. I am extremely grateful to Marco for his commitment to MP & Silva, as well as his leadership, enthusiasm and management expertise. I wish him the best of luck in all future activity."

Speaking about his departure, Marco Auletta said:

"Over the last eight years it has been an absolute privilege to work with such a talented team. MP & Silva has rapidly grown into one of the world’s leading sports media companies, and I am honoured to have played a role in this journey. MP & Silva will always be an important part of my life; and, because I have a strong belief and trust in the group’s future, I will remain a minority shareholder.

"Following the establishment of the new partnership with Baofeng and Everbright this is the right moment for me to take a step back from the daily management of the company. I am delighted to be leaving MP & Silva in such a positive fashion and I wish my successor the very best in taking on the role of CEO at this important moment in the company’s history."
