Manchester United has today announced a sponsorship agreement with Federal Corporation, one of Taiwan’s leading tyre manufactures.

During a launch event in Russia, one of Federal’s key markets, the Club announced the three year agreement that will see the company become the Premier League champions’ Official Tyre Partner in Russia and Taiwan. The launch took place at the Interauto Show in Moscow, and was led by Federal CEO, Jamie Ma.

Based in Taiwan, Federal was established in 1954 and has grown to produce an annual turnover of over $315 million. Specialising in ultra-high performance, 4x4/SUV and motorsport vehicle products, Federal has the capacity to produce over 28,000 tyres a day from its factories in Taiwan and China.

Federal intends to explore new markets in Asia and South America; and expand further into Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States. Over the next five years, Federal will be working to increase its market share in these territories and anticipates its partnership with Manchester United will assist in raising its brand profile in its key markets.

Manchester United’s Group Managing Director, Richard Arnold, comments:

"Federal demonstrates passion, innovation and quality, making it an attractive partner for Manchester United. It is a company that prides itself on customer satisfaction and striving to be best in its field. These ambitions give us the confidence that our fans will benefit from this new and exciting partnership. The Club has almost 18 million followers in Russia and with a third of Taiwanese football fans following United, we are able to provide Federal with a sizeable audience to engage with."
