MEI have revealed that the website for this year’s Major Events International Summit is now live. The Summit, which takes place on 12th & 13th October at the London Aquatic Centre on the former 2012 Olympic Park, brings together experts from organising committees, sports bodies, venues & key commercial suppliers. The launch coincides with the two-week point before the start of next Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro on 5 August, which will be one of the subjects discussed during the Summit.

The website will act as a one-stop-shop for information relating to the Summit. Visitors to the website can learn more about the sector themed workshops, panel sessions and potential to meet clients. It will also provide some more background on the Awards Dinner which will, once again, recognise the achievements of Members.

Commenting on the Summit website launch, Dennis Mills, Chief Executive of MEI said,

"The focus on the Games in Rio and the preparations of other major events organisers will make the reflections on 2016 and the look forward to 2017 a content rich Summit in October. We hope that our community of experts and those who want to know more about the Summit, find the website both informative and easy to use."

The website launch follows the announcement that ThinkWall, experts at audience interaction and fan engagement technology, are partnering with the Summit, reinforcing the highly interactive nature of the event for the 140 capped attendance. The programme for the two-day event will feature panel discussions and sector-focused workshops on themes such as fan engagement, technology, overlay and safety & security themes with some senior clients having already confirmed their attendance.
