(ATR) The United States topped the London 2012 medal table with 104 medals. China, Russia, and Great Britain were the next three countries in total medals with 88, 82, and 65 medals respectively.

The Hosts won 29 gold medals, which was 10 more than they earned in Beijing. The United States earned the most gold medals with 46, compared to 36 in Beijing.

Overall, 85 Nations earned at least one medal. Bahrain, Botswana, Cyprus, Gabon, Grenada, Guatemala, and Montenegro won their first Olympic Medals in London.

In total 302 gold medals and 962 total medals were awarded at the London 2012 games.
