Liberty Mutual Insurance named official sponsor of U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams through 2016

Liberty Mutual to serve as Official Property and Casualty and Life Insurance Partner

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The United States Olympic Committee today announced that Liberty Mutual Insurance will be an official sponsor of the 2014 and 2016 U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams in Sochi, Russia, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The sponsorship designates Liberty Mutual as the Official Property and Casualty and Life Insurance Partner.

"We are excited to join the Olympic and Paralympic Movements through our sponsorship of Team USA," said David H. Long, president and chief executive officer of Liberty Mutual Insurance. "Liberty Mutual Insurance has long celebrated the dreams of athletes, supporting youth athletics through our Responsible Sports program, and we look forward to continuing that support during the 2014 and 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games."

Liberty Mutual's sponsorship of the USOC will take effect in January of 2013.

Since 2007, the Liberty Mutual Responsible Sports program has supported youth sports organizations across the country through partnerships with the Positive Coaching Alliance, Amateur Softball Association of America, American Youth Soccer Organization, USA Hockey, USA Wrestling and US Youth Soccer.
