(ATR) Magic Johnson, Cobi Jones and Kobe Bryant are only some of the athletes of Los Angeles showing their support for the 2024 bid in a video series entitled "Legends of LA".
The series, organized by LA 2024 leaders intends to "shine a spotlighton our city’s most beloved temples of sport through the eyes of legendary athletes who have thrilled capacity crowds within their walls," according to LA 2024 vice-chair Janet Evans.
"These videos not only remind us of LA’s abundance of state-of-the-art sporting infrastructure, which would make LA 2024 the lowest risk Games in history, but they are also a further reflection of our bid committee’s commitment to connecting the Games with the next generation," she says in a statement.
The first episode of the series, released on April 11, features LA 2024 Athlete Commission member and Olympic athlete Carl Lewis.This segment takes you to back to the 1984 Games where Lewis won his first gold medals at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
The next episode's release date will soon be announced.
