LA 2024 Bid Adviser to Speak at The Academy -- Conferences and Conventions

(ATR) The IOC’s former marketing director Michael Payne has been named one of many keynote speakers at TSE Consulting’s "The Academy" conference this year.

Payne has overseen 15 Olympic Summer and Winter Games as well as worked as the senior strategic adviser to the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympic bids.

He also led the team responsible for the partnership between Alibaba and the IOC and iscurrently advising for the LA 2024 bid.

With his vast experience in sports management Payne intends to share his knowledge on the theme of the event "Revenue Promotion and Influence" to the delegates of The Academy.

The Academy will take place at the Olympic Museum in the Olympic capital of Lausanne, Switzerland from June 7-8.

BT Sport Awards Leading Sport Organizations

Corporations including adidas, FOX Sports and even Olympic TOP sponsor McDonald's have the opportunity to take first place in various categories at the BT Sport Industry Awards.

Among the 15 categories are "Best use of PR Award", "Community Program of the Year Award" and "Social Media Campaign of the Year".

The event is set to take place on April 27 at Battersea Evolution in the London borough of Wandsworth, England

Nearly 1750 sports industry leaders are expected to attend.

Coliseum Business Summit Goes Global

Coliseum will host multiple business summits throughout 2017 spanning four continents.

Each conference is designed to cover all topics regarding sporting venues including technology, operations, security, environment, design, construction and more.

The summit will feature exclusive presentations as well as interactive panel discussions, venue tours, networking opportunities and exhibition halls.

Coliseum Summit Europe was the first to take place on March 29-30 in Budapest, Hungary.

The next conference in Las Vegas, Nevada is scheduled for April 19-20.

Miami Marlins Director of Suites Truscott Miller, Fifth Street Gaming CEO Seth Schorr and Tennis Canada Director of Information Technology Costa Kladianos are among some of the speakers.

Participants of the Coliseum Americas conference will have the opportunity to visit the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, T-Mobile Arena and Park Theater.

Coliseum Summit Asia in September will take place in Beijing, the host city of the 2022 Winter Games. The last conference will be held in November in Australia. The city will soon be announced.

World Sport Events and Tourism Summit Heads to China

Sports professionals from around the world will soon gather in Yangzhou, China for the first annual World Sport Events and Tourism (WSET) Summit.

The conference will be opened by YangZhou Mayor Zhu Minyang and followed by panels and presentations covering topics such as bidding, marketing techniques, growth in technology at the Olympics and more.

Members of the International Olympic Committee, Organizing Committees of the 2018, 2020, and 2022 Olympic Games, Coca-Cola and Alibaba are all expected to be featured speakers at the event.

The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) will also be presenting a report on "Mega Events and Tourism".

The summit will be held June 8-10.
