Los Angeles 2024 today announced that it will unveil its official logo as well as other elements of its brand on Tuesday, February 16 in the City of Angels, and its appointment of Matt Rohmer as Marketing Director. Rohmer will collaborate with two world-renowned creative agencies responsible for designing the brand’s creative content and aesthetic identity, 72andSunny and Bruce Mau Design. The two creative agencies, both Los Angeles-based and internationally acclaimed, joined forces to craft the imagery that will infuse LA 2024’s work up until the IOC’s final vote in Lima, Peru in September 2017.
Rohmer comes to LA 2024 from advertising firm 72andSunny, where he was brand director and developed marketing campaigns for global powerhouses in the worlds of sport, business and entertainment. He has worked in the Los Angeles advertising industry for more than a dozen years, including at Ground Zero Advertising, Kastner & Partners, Deutsch Inc and Rubin Postaer & Associates. He received his bachelors degree from Northern Arizona University and M.B.A. from Pepperdine University.
"Matt Rohmer is a rising star in LA's creative community and we're very pleased to welcome him to our team," said LA 2024 CEO Gene Sykes. "With Matt's creative insight, we're hopeful that LA 2024’s brand image and story will inspire not only our city but the worldwide Olympic Movement."
Founded in Los Angeles with offices in New York and Amsterdam, 72andSunny created LA 2024’s logo design as well as the design of the bid’s official website and films. 72andSunny creates cultural impact on behalf of brands, and was named one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies for 2015, as well as a two-time "Agency of the Year" winner for Advertising Age and Adweek.

BMD is a multidisciplinary design firm specializing in award-winning brand design, recently receiving a Cannes Lion, D&AD Pencil, Core77 Community Award and "Best Branding of the Year" from Fast Company.
LA 2024's logo is set to be unveiled on the eve of LA 2024's first deliverable submission to the International Olympic Committee. The unveiling is set to take place in downtown Los Angeles featuring bid leaders and world-renowned Olympians.
