Junior World Championships: Lucaroni and Ghiroldi World Free Champions, Gold for Soler and Marsinyach in the Combined

The week of competitions in Reus ended for the Junior category. Saturday the big medal ceremony crowned the protagonists of the last day of the Junior World Championships: Luca Lucaroni, Pedro Marsinyach, Giselle Soler y Letizia Ghiroldi.

Theweek of competitions in Reus ended for the Junior category. Saturdaythe big medal ceremony crowned the protagonists of the last day ofthe Junior World Championships: Luca Lucaroni, Pedro Marsinyach,Giselle Soler y Letizia Ghiroldi.

TheItalian Lucaroni, after a memorable long programme, won the FreeWorld Title. His performance almost reached the perfection in thescore, with on average 9.9. The technical level of his programme(really high triples, with a combination of triple flip - triple Metzwithout intermediate jump) has been really complex, and also hischoreography and interpretation left the jury and the audiencewithout doubts.

Silvermedal for the spanish Pere Marsinyach, who's performance wastechnically very good especially for the 2triple Ripbergerscombination. Third the Portuguese Diogo Silva.

Marsinyachconfirmed the World Title in the Combined, followed by DevenJacobsen (USA). Third the italian MarcoBisciari.

Inthe long programme of the ladies another italian took the gold:Letizia Ghiroldi. But she had to fight hard with the ArgentinianGiselle Soler. The talented programme of Letizia drove her to anundisputed victory. Third place for the Italian Pamela Maronese.

Inthe Combined ladies Soler and Ghiroldi exchanged positions, third theSlovenian Tanita Kaja Cerne.Thenight ended with the spectacular competition of the Precision Groups.The Argentinians showed their tradition in this speciality and wonthe gold and silver medals. The Millenniun group lost the Title, wonby the compatriot Roller Dreams, because of some errors that led thegroup to fall more than once.
