The Annual General Meeting of the International World Games Association (IWGA) will be held as a remote Annual General Meeting on Friday 06 November from 14:00 - 17:00.
IWGA’s CEO Joachim Gossow said: "The IWGA Executive Committee (ExCo) has decided to hold the meeting remotely under the dispensation given by the Swiss government. This new way of conducting the General Meeting conforms with the COVID-19 statute established by the government of Switzerland, where the IWGA is located. The ExCo regrets not being able to convene its members in person in Lausanne but intends to take precautions to respond to the situation. The IWGA undertakes that electronic tools will be put in place to ensure the security, efficiency and smooth proceedings of the general assembly".
TThe Annual General Meeting was originally planned to be held 23 April 2020 in conjunction with the SportAccord Convention, which was cancelled in March. The meeting was moved to 6 November in Lausanne to be held in conjunction with the IF Forum. Subsequently, as a result of continuing COVID-19 uncertainty, the ExCo took the decision to hold the meeting remotely.
