Indian Olympic Association To Meet on March 27

The Indian Olympic Association will discuss the South Asian Games on March 27.

The fate of the South Asian Games has been uncertain since the IOA’s suspension by the IOC in December 2012.

According to New Delhi Television Limited, the IOA originally proposed to hold the South Asian Games in early 2013, but India sports minister Ajay Maken chose to postpone the games until 2014 due to "administrative difficulties" in the New Delhi government.

The IOA’s meeting on March 27 is the first meeting since the IOC repealed their suspension in Sochi.

The IOA will also decide on a date for the 35th Indian National Games, to be held in Kerela.
