Indian Olympic Association To Meet on March 27
The Indian Olympic Association will discuss the South Asian Games on March 27.
The fate of the South Asian Games has been uncertain since the IOA’s suspension by the IOC in December 2012.
According to New Delhi Television Limited, the IOA originally proposed to hold the South Asian Games in early 2013, but India sports minister Ajay Maken chose to postpone the games until 2014 due to "administrative difficulties" in the New Delhi government.
The IOA’s meeting on March 27 is the first meeting since the IOC repealed their suspension in Sochi.
The IOA will also decide on a date for the 35th Indian National Games, to be held in Kerela.
Angolan Olympic Academy Under Construction
Renovations of the Angolan Olympic Academy are underway.
The academy is a key instrument in the implementation of Angolan Olympic Committee tasks. The Agencia Angola Press says the academy is a "key instrument" and the work will benefit the Angolan Olympic Committee.
Secretary general Antonio Bambino says the members of the Angolan Olympic Committee will work toward improving the academy’s output.
The academy is set to start functioning by April 2014.
Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee and Adidas Form Partnership
The Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee has entered into an exclusive agreement with Adidas.
Adidas will provide Trinidad and Tobago teams with equipment in exchange for exclusive promotional rights to the Olympic committee’s properties for its teams.
The company will also assist in creating and selling a line of Olympic committee products to fans in Trinidad and Tobago.
