Inaugural Advanced Studies Programme in Sport Safety and Security Management Begins

With the growing threat to major sport events and increasing complexity to sport safety and security, the inaugural International Advanced Studies Programme on Sport Safety and Security Management started in Germany today, welcoming students from around the world.

Doha/Heidelberg; 11 June 2015: With the growing threat to major sport events and increasing complexity to sport safety and security, the inaugural International Advanced Studies Programme on Sport Safety and Security Managementstarted in Germany today, welcoming students from around the world.

Developed and delivered by the ICSS and SRH University Heidelberg, the first International Advanced Studies Programme on Sport Safety and Security Management welcomed participants from over 5 countries, who will undertake a unique programme to develop their practical knowledge, qualifications and competencies in what is a rapidly growing, global and complex area of the sport industry.

Underlining the ICSS’s commitment to training and education in sport safety, security and integrity, the inaugural course will be a unique opportunity for professionals in sport to be mentored by some of the world’s top experts in sport safety and security, who will deliver a range of tailored modules covering the latest trends and techniques.

Some of the key topics the first International Advanced Studies Programme on Sport Safety and Security Management will cover include:

Best Practice and Developing Trends and Techniques in Sport Safety and Security Legal Requirements and Implications in Major Event Safety and Security Cutting-Edge Techniques to Deliver a Safe, Secure and Successful Major Sport Events Risk Analysis and Risk Assessment Mitigation and Prevention MethodsMohammed Hanzab, President of the ICSS, said:
