Important meetings in Patras in view of the Mediterranean Beach Games

The members of the International Committee of the Mediterranean Games (ICMG) Coordination Commission, the Technical Delegates of the International Federations of the 11 sports that will take place in the Games and the Chefs de Mission of the 25 countries that will take part in the 2nd Mediterranean Beach Games to be held from 25-31 August 2019 will be gathered in Patras next week.

On Tuesday, June 4, the new inspection of the preparation of the organization by the ICMG Coordination Commission (CoCom) is scheduled. In the meetings with the officials of the Organizing Committee, all the aspects of the preparation will be analyzed and a detailed presentation of the planning by sector, as well as an assessment of the progress made so far and the planning of the implementation of the next priorities will be made. Consideration will also be given to the progress achieved in specific areas identified as having deficiencies or delays in the previous CoCom inspection on 2 and 3 May.

From Tuesday 4th to Friday 7th of June an official visit of the Technical Delegates of the International Federations of the 11 Sports of the Games will take place. There will be a first meeting with the heads of sports of the Organizing Committee, which is expected to proceed with their detailed information. In addition, the Technical Delegates will visit the venues where the sports are about to take place, attend the Chefs de Mission Seminar and give guidance on the follow-up.

As part of the visit of the Technical Delegates, Thursday, June 6, the tournament draws of the Mediterranean sports of Beach Handball and Beach Soccer will take place.

On Wednesday 5th, Thursday 6th and Friday 7th of June, the Chefs de Mission that will take part in the Games will be in Patras for informative meetings with the Organizing Committee’s executives and experts. It is mainly about an informative seminar to be held by the heads of foreign missions on all matters that concern them and should know in view of the Games.
