(ATR) 100 immigrants gathered at Toronto's new Athlete Village to be inducted as citizens of Canada to celebrate the 100-day countdown until the Pan American Games.

The event began with a judge granting the 100 immigrants their Canadian citizenship after repeating the oath.

Canadian Olympian Catriona Le May Doan was the keynote speaker for the event.

After being welcomed as fellow citizens, the ceremony continued with a drum procession.The event concluded with the new citizens singing the Canadian anthem for the first time as Canadians.
