(ATR) A bail request for Pat Hickey will not be heard today.

A spokesperson from the Tribunal de Justiça do Rio de Janeiro confirmed that there will be no requests for bail today. Hickey will remain in prison in Bangu, where he was transferred on August 20.

Hickey is housed in Cadeia Pública José Frederico Marques in the Complexo Penitenciário de Gericinó in the Bangu prison complex, a the prison confirmed to Around the Rings. The spokesperson also confirmed that Hickey continues to share a cell with Kevin James Mallon, an executive of hospitality companyTHG, who is also charged with involvement in the Rio Olympic ticketing scandal.

The prison spokesperson told ATR the only visitor Hickey has received is the Irish consulate. Requests for comment from the Irish consulate went unreturned. It is unclear if Hickey’s wife is still in Brazil. The Olympic Council of Ireland said they would not comment on her status.

Hickey is charged with ticket touting, forming a cartel and illicit marketing. He could face up to seven years in Brazilian prison if convicted. Rio investigators confirmed yesterday that it could be up to three months before the case comes before a court.

Next developments will come tomorrow when OCI officials Stephen Martin and Kevin Kilty are questioned by police. Martin is the chief executive of the OCI and Kilty is the chef de mission for the Irish team. Bothhave had their passports seized by Brazilian authorities until they speak with civil police about the ticketing scam. Police yesterday cleared OCI general secretary Dermot Henihan of any connection with the illegal sale of OCI tickets. On the eve of the Rio Olympics, police seized around 1,000 tickets which were allegedly being sold illegally by Mallon and others.

Independent Inquiry Appointments

Irish Judge Carroll Moran has been appointed to lead the independent State inquiry into the ticketing scandal, the OCI said on Wednesday. The Olympic body also confirmed that an international accountancy firm would be hired in the next two days to review the Irish Olympic ticketing arrangements for the Rio Games.

"Earlier this week a data security firm Espion was appointed by the OCI to secure, copy and seal the OCI server and all OCI electronic data," the statement said. "All of the retrieved data will be reviewed by the soon to be appointed accountancy firm as part of its review. The findings of this review will be given to Judge Moran to be examined as part of his inquiry.

The OCI vowed to cooperate fully with the State inquiry.
