Hein Verbruggen, Hassan Al Thawadi and Alessandro Del Piero to speak at Securing Sport 2013

Doha, Qatar; 18th December 2012: The International Centre for Sport Security (ICSS) has announced today that Hein Verbruggen (President of SportAccord), will speak at Securing Sport 2013, the leading international sport security and integrity conference.

As part of the ICSS’s mission to drive new thinking in sport, safety, security and integrity, Mr. Verbruggen will join experts on the panel entitled "The Role of Sport – Advancing the International Community to Safeguard the Future" to discuss a range of subjects surrounding the integrity of sport and the importance of sport in promoting international policies.

In addition to Mr. Verbruggen, the ICSS has also announced that Hassan Al Thawadi (General Secretary of the Supreme Committee for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar™) and Italian football star, Alessandro Del Piero, will speak at next year’s conference.

Taking place on the 18th and 19th March 2013 in Doha, Qatar, Securing Sport 2013 will bring together 400 international stakeholders to share knowledge and best practice, all under the theme of "Advancing the security and integrity of sport to safeguard the future".

As an event attracting leading international bodies, organisations and businesses, Securing Sport 2013 will be a unique forum that will drive new thinking in the world of sport, security, technology, integrity and beyond.
